Chiropractor Towson MD Jeffrey Kalkstein
Chiropractor

Jeffrey Kalkstein, D.C.

Dr. Jeff provides chiropractic care for the entire family, and he feels privileged to be able to care for many elite professional athletes, including Baltimore’s Professional Baseball Team. He enjoys relieving pain, restoring function and helping patients to return to their normal daily activities.

Dr. Jeff is passionate about coaching patients about the importance of proper nutrition, sleep, stress-relieving activities, positive mental thoughts, and engaging in regular exercise.

"I have a calling to help others, and that’s what I wake up thinking about every day. That’s what gets me moving and what keeps me focused each day.”

Because of his outstanding reputation, many Baltimore health care providers, medical doctors, dentists and massage therapists refer their patients and clients to the office.

Embarking on a Journey to Chiropractic

Dr. Jeff grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. While he was in high school, he twisted his knee in football practice drills right before the start of his senior year. The orthopedic surgeon he consulted at the University of Pittsburgh told him, “I have some good news and some bad news. The good news is I can fix it. The bad news is you can’t play football this year.” Fortunately, Dr. Jeff consulted a chiropractor for this same injury because, as a result of chiropractic care, he played in every game that year. Dr. Jeff then went on to the U.S. Naval Academy and 10 years of active duty, stationed around the world. Deciding that chiropractic was his calling, he attended and graduated from National College of Chiropractic in Chicago. He remained in the Naval Reserves, retiring as a commander.

Maintaining Strong Family Ties

Dr. Jeff met his wife Megan while working out at the gym when he was stationed in Washington D.C. After graduation, Dr. Jeff collaborated with his brother for a short time in Pittsburgh before deciding to move to Towson MD, an area that he and Megan had always loved. They are the proud parents of four grown and highly educated children: Blake, Russell, Brittany and Warren. You could say that chiropractic runs through Dr. Jeffrey Kalkstein’s blood. His three brothers, Thomas, Robert, and William, along with two nephews and one niece, are chiropractors as well. His youngest son, Warren, is also a chiropractor. Dr. Warren graduated from Logan University with his Doctorate of Chiropractic and a Masters in Sports Science and Rehabilitation.

Expanding His Practice Space

Joining renowned chiropractor Dr. Richard Adolph in 1989, Dr. Jeff has remained to serve Towson MD area patients ever since. The two worked together for about eight years. Dr. Adolph was one of the most famous chiropractors in Maryland and served as the chiropractor for the Baltimore Colts. Dr. Jeff worked in the same building as Dr. Adolph’s for about 25 years. In December 2010, a few days before Christmas, the building burned to the ground. “Within two days, we were up and running next door. The incident afforded me the opportunity to create an environment where we could better serve our patients.” In a sense, having the building burn down was a blessing for Dr. Jeff, as it allowed him to expand the practice. His skill set had changed due to all the training he’d gone through over the past 15 years. “We went from having about 1,800 square feet of space to a 4,000 square-foot facility that has allowed us to provide state-of-the-art care.” He, Megan, and Warren currently work at the practice.

Engaging in Healthy Habits

Regarding his own health, Dr. Jeff receives weekly chiropractic care and provides care to his family on a regular basis. He and his family also stay fit by exercising regularly. They participate in activities such as swimming, weight training, running, yoga and Pilates. For fun, they enjoy playing tennis as well as snow and water skiing. Megan is a gourmet chef with a master’s degree in Holistic Nutrition, so Dr. Jeff and his family eat an organic, whole food diet with plenty of fruits, vegetables, fresh fish, free-range chicken and grass-fed beef. They also supplement with natural multivitamins, D3, pharmaceutical grade Omega-3 (fish oil) and various anti-inflammatory nutrients and spices.

Staying Active Professionally

Dr. Jeff is Board Certified and licensed in the states of Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania and Ohio. He is a member of the Maryland Chiropractic Association (MCA) and the American Chiropractic Association (ACA). Dr. Jeff sums up his purpose in this way, “We are only here for one reason, and that is to be of service to our patients by providing care that is convenient, affordable and mainstream.” You’re invited to find out how we can best serve your health needs and those of your family and friends by contacting our office. If you would like to schedule an appointment with Dr. Jeff, contact us today! Ample free parking is available as well as easy access in and out of the building.

Chiropractor Towson MD Nick Kuhl
Chiropractor

Nick Kuhl, D.C.

Dr. Nick Kuhl wants his patients to be excited about coming to visit him! His goal is to develop a healthy doctor-patient relationship that allows patients to look forward to their visits. He desires nothing more than to help his patients get better as quickly as possible.

Dr. Kuhl takes an active role in creating a health journey for each individual patient and enjoys assisting them in reaching their goals - whether that be in exercising, diet changes, or overall lifestyle modifications.

While studying for his Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science at the University of Southern Indiana, Dr. Kuhl knew he didn’t want a sedentary job. He desired a work environment that allowed him to stay active and to work with his hands. Since the traditional medical field didn’t speak to his heart, he turned towards the chiropractic arena, and graduated from Logan University College of Chiropractic with his Doctorate of Chiropractic. Dr. Kuhl says it has been the best decision he could have made regarding his work career. He finds fulfillment in relieving pain, as well as in assisting in the development of a lifestyle for his patients that alleviates pain for good.

Dr. Nick Kuhl is ART Spine Certified, Dry Needling Certified, and is currently working on his Mckenzie Certification.

In his freetime, he enjoys rock-climbing both indoors and outdoors. He says that climbing for him is a love/hate relationship, as he enjoys the physical challenge of calculating his next move, but at the same time is not a fan of heights. On weekdays, Dr. Nick enjoys working out with the other Doctors at Kalkstein Chiropractic, as well as climbing with Dr. Warren. On weekends, Dr. Kuhl can typically be found outside with his pup Maple. Music is also a daily necessity in his life, so he enjoys going to live music events any chance he gets.

Midwest-born and raised in Illinois, Dr. Kuhl is the youngest in his family, and has one older sister who is a Doctor of Audiology out in Oregon.

Chiropractor Towson MD Alexander Day
Chiropractor

Alec Day, D.C.

Dr. Alexander “Alec” Day grew up in Woodbine Maryland, a small town in western Howard County. He attended Towson University where he received his bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. During his undergraduate studies, he interned at Kalkstein Chiropractic and Physical Therapy.

It was during this time that he realized the power of conservative care and the freedom of treatment that a chiropractic scope of practice provides the doctor.

After graduating from Towson University, Dr. Alec moved to St. Louis, MO to pursue his Doctorate of Chiropractic and Masters in Sport Science and Rehabilitation from Logan University. In December of 2021 he graduated with his doctorate with Cum Laude honors, and graduated with his masters with Summa Cum Laude honors. Dr. Alec seeks to be an evidence-based physician that practices within the guidelines of current research and best practices. While attending Chiropractic school, he attended countless hours of continuing education courses including Motion Palpation Adjusting, Active Release Technique (ART), Mckenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT),), Dry Needling, Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), and more. Dr. Alec also has integrated clinical experience at two federally qualified health centers where he provided care to the underserved community alongside a team of other physicians and healthcare providers.

Outside of the office, Dr. Alec enjoys spending time with friends, his lovely wife, his two sons, and two dogs. You can find him lifting weights, enjoying nature, or exploring a local vineyard with the people he cares about.

Chiropractor Towson MD Brady Dailey

Chiropractor

Brady Dailey, D.C.

Those steps include pain relief, rehabilitation, and functional movement, as well as supportive care. Dr. Brady looks forward to working with you throughout each one of these steps to obtain your full health potential.

When studying for his bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford, Dr. Brady learned the importance of exercise and movement. Dr. Brady also wanted a profession where he spent the quality one-on-one time to address any questions or concerns patients may have towards their overall health. After much research, Dr. Brady discovered chiropractic was the best fit for him because the profession encompassed all the tools necessary to make patients feel better faster.

Dr. Brady graduated from Northeast College of Health Sciences with his Doctorate of Chiropractic in 2021. In addition, Dr. Brady is also certified in Whole Food Nutrition under the same institution. He evaluates patients’ lifestyle approach, rather than one aspect of one’s health to investigate potential factors that may contribute to musculoskeletal pain. Dr. Brady listens to patients’ goals and works with them to give them the best chance in accomplishing those goals. He believes every patient is on a different path to optimal wellness, and that every patient is going to have their own unique treatment journey. Dr. Brady is here to guide patients to achieve their goals using tools such as, spinal manipulation, soft tissue techniques, exercise, nutritional advice, and other various modalities. For example, Dr. Brady is certified in Dry Needling and Whole Food Nutrition.

Dr. Brady grew up in Windsor, Pennsylvania about an hour north of Towson MD. In his free time, Dr. Brady enjoys various outdoor activities. Those activities include fishing, hunting, golfing, hiking, and kayaking. In addition to enjoying the outdoors, Dr. Brady has been involved in sports his whole life. Throughout Dr. Brady’s life he has played baseball, football, volleyball, and baseball. In fact, Dr. Brady played basketball for the Pitt-Bradford Panthers while studying for his bachelor’s degree. Dr. Brady also enjoys watching Pittsburgh sports, especially when the Steelers are beating up on the Ravens (unpopular opinion in this area). He looks forward to work alongside patients and provide all the necessary tools available to meet their wellness goals.
